‘English Vinglish’ performing artist Sujata Kumar passes on after malignancy fight
Family sources say she was experiencing fourth stage metastatic tumor
On-screen character Sujata Kumar, best referred to for movies, for example, English Vinglish, passed away on Sunday night because of growth.
Family sources revealed to PTI she was experiencing fourth stage metastatic growth (metastatis) and was admitted to Lilavati Hospital here.
“Her condition compounded day before yesterday at the healing facility,” the insider said.
Performer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Sujata’s more youthful sister, likewise took to Twitter to share the news of the demise.
“Our cherished Sujata Kumar has passed away and proceeded onward to a superior place abandoning us with an umimaginable void. She cleared out us a hour prior at 11.26 pm on the nineteenth of august 2018… Life can never be the same again…” Suchitra tweeted.
In another tweet, which she later erased, Suchitra said the memorial service will happen at the Juhu crematorium in Vile Parle today.
