Rishikesh, JNN STF reached a big gang betting on Cricket World Cup matches in London. On the confidential information, the STF raided a hotel in a deserted area on Wednesday. Two youths were arrested during this period.
During the raids, all the people lodged in the hotel were fired, while some youths in the rooms were stopped in the room. Police and STF investigations continued in the matter till night. It is being said that speculators are suspected to be involved with the gang’s wire national and international gangs.
According to the information, the Uttarakhand STF was informed that Bin is being quizzed about the victory and defeat of the ongoing match between Pakistan and Australia which is being played on Wednesday in the World Cup in Muni’s Sati police station area. Late night, the team of STF reached Muni Ki Rati police station.
After registering the arrivals in Muni Ki Ratti police station, the STF raided a hotel in Tapovan. It is being told that the speculators here have been playing betting games for some time in the World Cup matches.
This action of STF was kept so confidential that local police officers and hotel staff were also excluded from the hotel. The STF team has taken the entire matter on their own. It is being told that bookies are playing betting on a large scale. DIG STF Ridhim Agarwal was keeping a watch on the whole case itself.
Sources said that speculators were also speculating about the match against New Zealand on June 13. After this, on 16th June, India, and Pakistan were preparing for a big bet on the match between them. The bookmakers had spread their net so much that they were playing betting on other countries’ matches too.
In the respective case, the police have filed a petition on behalf of Tehri DS Tomar. The arrested persons include Ankit Kumar, son of Rishi Pal, Ganesh Chowk, Gangoh Saharanpur and Naresh Kumar son Jai Singh resident of Tarka Gangoh Saharanpur. Two mobile, LCD, setup box, speculator register, two pen drives, etc. have been recovered from the possession of them.
Munikiretti’s Thana in-charge inspector RK Saklani told that the matter has been referred to the woman sub-inspector, Gita Gola. The arrested accused were working online betting on the World Cup match against India. In these recovered register, the names and numbers of the people of Delhi NCR, Saharanpur, etc. have been recorded. Whose intensity is being examined?
