Happy birthday Hardik Pandya: Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is celebrating his 26th birthday today. Born on 11 October 1993 in Surat, Gujarat, Hardik is more famous for his luxury life and style than cricket. There was a time in the life of Hardik, one of the main players of the Indian team, when he had no money to eat nor a kit to play cricket. Today, Hardik has fought a lot for the luxury life he is leading.
Hardik comes from a middle class family. His father had a small business in Surat. When Hardik was five years old, his family left Surat and moved to Vadodara. The father’s business also closed. After coming to Vadodara, Hardik’s family lived in a rented house. Hardik’s father Himanshu Pandya loved cricket so he got his two sons enrolled in the academy of former Indian cricketer Kiran More.
Hardik had told in an interview that he did not have a cricket kit to play when he was 17 years old. In such a situation, both brothers used to play cricket kit from Baroda Cricket Association. During under-19 cricket, he did not have much money, due to which he used to eat Maggi and work. During this time, the condition of Hardik’s family was also not good. But Hardik and his family had a cloudy life after being bought by Mumbai Indians in the IPL. After this, Hardik continued to perform well and made a place in the Indian team. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament in 2016, Hardik scored the highest runs in the tournament while playing for Baroda. He had scored 377 runs in 10 innings at an average of 53.85. Not only this, the team also reached the final.
Till now Hardik Pandya has played 54 ODIs for India in which he scored 957 runs. It also included four half-centuries while adding 54 wickets to his account. On the other hand, in T20 format, he has taken 38 wickets in 40 matches and has scored 310 runs so far. In Test cricket, Pandya has played 5 matches and has scored 532 runs and 17 wickets.
