Former Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has been arrested in a case of bank fraud. The court refused to extend their bail period, after which they were arrested.

 

Islamabad:  Former Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has been arrested. He has been arrested in the case of bank fraud. The Islamabad High Court rejected his bail plea, after which the road to his arrest was made clear. He was already on bail in this case, but the court on Monday refused to extend the extension within the bail period.

 

Zardari, the leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), is accused of rigging millions of dollars of money. In this case, his sister Faryal Talpur is also accused. They are accused of holding several fake bank accounts. According to the news agency AP, both were present in the court on Monday during the hearing of the case, but then they were not arrested. But two hours later, the Anti-Corruption Bureau Accountability Bureau took him into custody.
