Mohammed Shami: The court has issued an arrest warrant against Indian cricket team pacer Mohammed Shami in a domestic violence case filed by wife Hasin Jahan. Shami is currently playing a Test series in the West Indies.

An arrest warrant has been issued by West Bengal’s Alipur court against Mohammed Shami, the Indian cricket team’s fast bowler playing a Test series in the West Indies. The court has issued an arrest warrant against Shami and his brother Hasid Ahmed in a domestic violence case filed by wife Hasin Jahan.

The court has asked them to surrender within 15 days. Last year, Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence.

A case was registered against Shami and his brother for domestic violence under Section 498A of the IPC.

Hasin Jahan made public the alleged Facebook chat with several of Shami’s women on Facebook, alleging that she had illicit relations with these women.

Recently, Shami’s US visa was rejected due to current police records against him on charges of domestic violence and adultery.

Later the BCCI immediately came into action and wrote a letter to the US Embassy to resolve the matter. CEO Rahul Johri wrote a letter to the US embassy and submitted a full police report about Shami’s contribution to the Indian team and marital discord with his estranged wife. After this he got permission.

Shami is an important part of Team India. He is currently part of the second and final Test being played against the West Indies. On Sunday, he completed his 150 wickets in the Test match. Shami achieved this feat in the 42nd Test of his career. He is the 15th bowler to take more than 150 wickets in Test cricket for India.

Shami broke Zaheer’s record, 
surpassing Shami Zaheer Khan to become the fastest Indian fast bowler to take 150 wickets in Test cricket. Kapil Dev is at number one position in this case, having touched the figure of 150 wickets in 39 Tests. At the same time, Javagal Srinath, who stood second, had to play 40 Tests to reach this point. While Shami has achieved this feat while playing the 42nd Test. Zaheer Khan achieved this position in 49 Tests.
