IPL 2019

IPL-2019 Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir had questioned the captaincy of RCB captain Virat Kohli a few days ago. On which Virat Kohli has given his reaction.

New Delhi:  Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who has twice been given the IPL title to Kolkata, had just raised questions about the captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Kohli a few days ago. This statement by Gambhir during a show at Star Sports has become viral fast enough on social media. But when Kohli asked this question, he smiled and said that I have no objection to the fact that the Bangalore team has not won the trophy so far in my captaincy. Significantly, Kohli is associated with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the first season of IPL. But till now the team has not been able to make the champions one at a time.

Virat Kohli has represented Bangalore in 96 matches, including matches played during the Champions League Twenty20. In his captaincy, Virat has managed to win Bangalore only in 44 matches, while the team has lost 48 games. While 4 matches are pending. Gambhir feels that Kohli is lucky that despite the bad record in IPL, the Bangalore franchise relies on his captaincy and he has been given the responsibility of captaincy so far. Gambhir said, “Kohli has a long way to go in captaincy. They will take a lot of time now to match Rohit and Dhoni.

Kohli said during the interaction with the team before the match against Chennai, “Obviously every team wants to win the IPL. I am trying to do everything that I should do. If people take my assessment with the IPL trophy in mind then I do not care about it. No such criteria has been decided. I always try to perform for the team. I try to win all the titles but sometimes it does not happen as you think and we have to admit that we can not win the IPL till now because the right decisions were not taken in under stressful circumstances.

Kohli continued his point saying, “If I start thinking like, as people think, then I will not play 5 matches and you will be seen sitting at home. I know that people are looking for an opportunity to talk about it. But I want to tell you that I have been given responsibility in the form of a captain and I want to win the IPL for my team and our entire team is ready for this season.
